I am thrilled to share the exciting news that our recent trip to Zimbabwe was a tremendous success. We are on the verge of completing the registration process for our trust in Zimbabwe, with just a few minor adjustments needed before the official signing.
During our time in Zimbabwe, we made a meaningful impact by donating 3 life straw systems and 3 pairs of spikes to the Ekhaya Kip Keino Children’s Home in rural Gwanda. As many of you know, running is dear to my heart, and I’m hopeful that we can organize a shoe drive in the future to further support these enthusiastic young runners.
Additionally, I had the privilege of visiting St. Lucy Primary School in Kombo, accompanied by Taylor Tomu, Miriam Chuma, and Ngonidzashe Munyarari. The school’s vision strongly aligns with our mission, and it’s a place where I believe we can truly make a difference. While we await some paperwork, St. Lucy Primary School has expressed a significant need for our services, and it will be a school we visit often and partner with.
In the spirit of fostering education, we are proud to announce that we are sponsoring 10 students from St. Lucy Primary School and 1 student from Masvingo, totaling 11 students (6 girls and 5 boys). Your continued support has made this possible, and we are immensely grateful for your dedication to our cause.
To give you a glimpse into our journey, I’ve included a link to an album with all the pictures from the trip .
As we look ahead to the 2024 academic year, we are seeking your ongoing support to ensure the success of our students. If you would like to make a donation, please use the following link: https://mymotherland.org/donate/
